Alicia & Matt
Sometimes you just get really, really lucky, and people like Alicia and Matt hire you to be their photographer. They came all the way from Little Rock, Arkansas to have their wedding in Alys Beach, Florida. To say I was thrilled to shoot a wedding in that little town is an understatement, but upon meeting these two I realized it really didn't matter where I took their photos... their love for one another really took center stage to anything around them.
Aside from Google Hangout, we were only able to actually meet a few days before their wedding. And, since I almost never shoot a couple for the first time on their wedding day, they were kind enough to give me a few hours of their time for a sun-kissed Seaside engagement session, so we could spend some time getting to know each other (all four of us, my Nikon included!).
We wandered around one of the oh-so-cute 30A towns, where these two laughed and kissed and even grabbed a little bum (I didn't have to tell him twice, hehe!) in the Bud & Alleys Pizza Bar, where their wedding reception would be held just a couple short days later. Also, they somehow managed to get the only shot I've ever taken of the Seaside tower without a single person in the frame, too. I swear, I didn't photoshop it! It was bananas. And they were perfect. Then, of course, what could be better than sunset on the beach? Not much, as a matter of fact... it's why I live here!
Thank you to this picture-perfect couple for trusting me to be a part of one of the biggest milestones of your lives. You're so incredibly lucky to have found each other, and I know you don't take that for granted... you can tell by the way you two look at one other. I hope to see you guys in front of my camera again soon. <3
P.S. Guys are not always super thrilled about taking photos - SHOCKING, I know. I'm glad I could bring you this ground-breaking insight. As I was driving home I got this message from Alicia- seriously one of the highest compliments a photographer can receive!
I had fun too, Matt! ;)
